Battle of the Bar is back! This years event see's the return of Liverpool's most acclaimed powerlifting event as lifters battle it out to be crowned the strongest in male & female pound for pound across Merseyside.

Zoë's Place is an independent registered Charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to 5 years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

How it Works

Powerlifting is a sport where you perform the squat, bench press and deadlift on the same day, with 3 attempts to increase your total by the end of the competition.

Battle of the Bar will be open to 50 lifters from age 14+, with no restrictions on age class, weight class or experience (novices welcome) following the IPF rules.

You can enter this competition classic/raw (no supportive equipment, only belt, knee sleeves and wrist wraps are permissable as per the IPF rulebook) or equipped (with supportive equipment as per the IPF rulebook).

You can enter this competition full power (squat, bench and deadlift) or bench only.

Winners will be based on those who total the highest wilks overall. A special prize will be awarded to the overall strongest male and female based on highest wilks achieved.

Spectators can purchase tickets for Battle of the Bar on the door for £5.
