WHAT IS SUPERTOTAL?

powerlifting

Powerlifting is a strength sport made up of three competition lifts: the back squat, the bench press, and the deadlift.

 

Powerlifting requires static strength and good leverages to successfully complete the lifts. That being said it’s a good entry-level strength sport as it can be easier to learn.

weightlifting

Olympic Weightlifting is a power sport and consists of the snatch, and the clean & jerk movements.

 

Although technically fewer lifts than powerlifting, weightlifting is far more technical and requires great leverage, coordination and good mobility.

hybrid training

SuperTotal is a hybrid of powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting, taking the best from both disciplines to create well-rounded athletes.

 

You’ll build static and dynamic strength plus explosive power.

You'll lift with both powerlifters and weightlifters as part of your hybrid training plan.

ONLINE COACHING

App-based programming that will be used to compliment your coached sessions.

ASSIGNED COACHES

You'll be working with our powerlifting and weightlifting coaches for the complete SuperTotal Experience.

PRIVATE GYM ACCESS

Taylor's is a members only gym, you'll get access to our facility for any additional training you'd like to do.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

Absolutely not, we have complete beginners to experienced lifters taking part in SuperTotal.

CAN GIRLS DO IT?

You should know the strongest person in our ranks pound for pound is a girl! Also, did you read the testimonials above?

I'M A POWERLIFTER, CAN I DO IT?

Yes. Already having a baseline of strength will mean more focus on the technique of weightlifting, the majority of our SuperTotal athletes have come from powerlifting.

HOW MUCH IS IT AFTER THE TRIAL?

That depends on how many sessions you need per week, if you'd like to add nutrition support, sports massage or other perks. However, the gym membership alone is £34pcm.

DO I NEED CERTAIN KIT?

Nope, shorts, t-shirt and a pair of shoes to begin with will do.

WILL I BE ABLE TO COMPETE IN BOTH POWERLIFTING AND WEIGHTLIFTING?

Yes, the coaches will be working together to ensure you get the most out of each discipline and help you work toward whatever competition goals you might have.

Bio:
Danny has been an integral part of Taylor's since the very beginning, having played a huge part in the way of our high standard of coaching, and always striving to help the business improve.

As well as being the right-hand of Taylor's Strength, Danny has pursued a career in sports massage therapy and recently became a fully qualified physiotherapist. This, alongside his wealth of experience in multiple aspects of training makes Danny our absolute go-to guy for preventing injury in our athletes and aiding those with their rehabilitation.
